Mike Judge was born on 17 October 1962 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He is the son Jim Judge, anthropologist and Margaret Blue, a librarian. He grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and studied in the St. Pius X High School. He then completed graduation in 1985 from the University of California, San Diego. He passed out with the Bachelor of Science in Physics. He was married to Francesca Morocco but is now divorced and has two children. He can play bass guitar and has played for various bands like Anson Funderburgh, and The Rockets which is a blues band, etc. He is an animator, voice actor, writer, director and producer. He not only directed and produced the short ‘Office Space‘ (1991), but also acted in it. Later, he created ‘Beavis and the Butt-Head’ (1993) and ‘King of the Hill’ (1997). Actually, Bevis and Butt-head were the characters of ‘Frog Baseball’ an animated short, which inspired him to create a series on their name. A feature film ‘Beavis and Butt-Head Do America’ was also released in 1996. He voiced the title characters of ‘Bevis and the Butt-Head’ and also gave voice to “Hank Hill” and “Boomhauer” in ‘King of the Hill’. He again wrote and directed a comedy film ‘Office Space’ which was based on the earlier series of the same name. In this film he made cameo appearance as “Stan“. His most recent film is ‘Idiocracy‘. He has also done a cameo appearance in ‘Jackass: Number Two’. He is also well known for his role in ‘Spy Kids’.

He won The Certificate of Merit of Annie Award in 2004 and earlier he was nominated twice in these Awards in 1997 & 2000. He was nominated many times in Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program for King of the Hill in 1997, 1998, 2001, 2002 and 2008. He won the Emmy for the same in 1999.

Role in King Of The Hill

Mike Judge has done the voice-over for the character of “Hank Hill” in King of the Hill’. Hank Hill is the assistant manager at Strickland Propane. He is not used to the modern trends and he dislikes certain antics of his friends and family members. He is always ready to prove his masculinity, dislikes intimate talks relating to sex or homosexuality. He suffers from narrow urethra which had created hurdle at the time of his son- Bobby’s conception. He has a good relationship with his family despite his wife’s conceitedness. He is concerned towards his son and wants to give him the best upbringing.
