Brittany Murphy was born on 10 November 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She is the daughter of Sharon Murphy and Angelo Bertolloti. She was brought up single-handedly by her mother because her parents got separated soon after her birth. She spent her early years in Edison, New Jersey before she moved to Burbank, California with her mother, when she was 13. Her father was in little contact with Brittany after taking divorce from her mother. Brittany’s mother suffered from breast cancer and had to undergo double mastectomy, when Brittany was only 15.
She had actor Jonathan Brandis, as her date in the High School Prom and later dated co-star Ashton Kutcher. She was once engaged to Jeff Kwatinetz but later got engaged with Joe Macaluso, which lasted for almost eight months. She finally married Simone Monjack, who was arrested one month before their marriage, because of the expiration of his visa.
She made her career in acting and as a recording artist. She had her first singing role in the musical version of ‘Les Miserables’ when she was only nine. She was signed in for commercials by a manager when she turned 13. The Later she appeared in her first starring role in a TV show in ‘Drexell’s Class’.
