I surely think that Mike Judge has been an underrated director for all the dazzling piece of art that he has put in his hilarious comedies like the King of the Hill TV show. Not only that, I am even convinced that the last decade has been a witness to some of the most unique comedies, thanks to Mike Judge.

Guys! Who can forget the uproarious “Office Space”, which I thought was worth for much more than it actually got. And for that matter, the much stimulated “Idiocracy” was also a feather in the cap of Mike Judge. And to mention the last but not the least of them all, King of the Hill was the one which ran for a long span of time.

Talking of Mike Judge’s recent feats, I think that ‘Extract’ is going to stand out between all of them. Talking about the same just recently, Mike Judge expressed his mind-set and that he takes a lot of delight and ecstasy out of such type of directions. By the way, you guys must be all familiar with his animated TV show King of the Hill.
I certainly don’t think that there was any need to tell people to watch King of the Hill seasons which according to Mike Judge, he doesn’t gives up to ask all to watch it.

Just make out for yourself; the theme behind Mike’s following statement. “And I really don’t enjoy telling people to do things they don’t want to do, but it goes with the territory”.
I just admire such a confession and trust me, that isn’t the easiest thing in the world. Emmy Award winner ‘King of the Hill’ TV Show is really the king of music. The jazz music with guitar in background is really appealing with a sound of bells and words “Aaa hoooo’. The theme song is perfectly matches the hilarious story line of the show. It’s a first kind of music for an animated series that start with bells. These bells remind me of my school time when everyone used to wait for bell to ring and period to get over. The “Aaa hooo” chorus sound is similar to what we used to shout loud to express uncontrollable happiness. The song takes me back to my school days memories. What the moments were those, still fresh and clear in my mind.

I don’t know why but everyone used to have a feeling of being locked in a prison without committing any crime. Remembering those times, sometimes I think about the reasons responsible for imaging the knowledge of temple, school, as a hell. According to my view point, communication gap between teachers and students was the main reason and it’s still prevailing. Not only prevailing but has increased more in last years.

The simple solution to this problem is listening students patiently what they feel about studies and school authorities and only then any decision can be taken to remove misconceptions of the students and they could be realized the value and scope of studies. Once the mission to realize students the value of studies is achieved, they will never face any problems regarding studies from the students who are intelligent but did not studied because they did not knew the importance of studies. The same problem is also shown being faced by the school going character Bobby Hill of ‘King of the Hill‘. The same character is my favorite one.

Other disturbing news which is stealing the peace of mind of the fans of this show is that it is ending on 13^th September, 2009, which has been confirmed by FOX network also that is its last season. The depiction of the virtual city of Arlen, in the show, is so comprehensive and artistic that I sometimes feel like it is just on the outskirts of my hometown.

I also loved the character of Hank Hill’s neighbor Dale Gribble. Besides being a chain smoker, an exterminator, a gun fanatic and a bounty hunter, Dale is an obsessed supporter of almost all conspiracy theories. He brings a humor into the storyline in his own special and unique way.

Animated shows like King of the Hill are rare pieces of art. They are like a once in a lifetime experience. Such is their hold on the audience’s hearts that it makes them relate to the emotions of each and every character. I definitely feel that to bring animated characters to life, and make them capable of touching the audience’s hearts is something that really deserves a great applause.

As an avid fan of this show I take this opportunity to thank the creators of this wonderful animated series. It was really a treat to watch King of the Hill and we still miss the show badly. Simply speaking the show was cool, funky and rocking!

Hey friends! I have been an ardent viewer of this absolutely fantastic animated comedy, King of the Hill tv show how, since it premiered in 1997. I loved all the eccentric and peculiar characters, including Hank, Peggy, Bobby, Luanne, Bill Dauterive, Dale Gribble and even the gibberish spouting Boomhauer. Although, every aspect of this animated show which was aired during primetime appealed to me, I particularly found the use of the standard set-up of a situation comedy as the premise of the show, quite fascinating. Also the manner in which an ordinary American family was used to explore numerous modern issues including, friendship, loyalty, justice, envy, arrogance as well as parent-child relationships, was really praise worthy. It stood apart from other animated shows of its kind in that the characters of the show were genuinely brilliant and a lot of the jokes were actually full of genius humor. The writing team was really top notch which ensured that the show was funny without going over the top. I often compared the behavior of Hill family with some of our relatives from Texas and realized that the show probably was quite a realistic portrayal of life in Texas.

I believe that creator Mike Judge realized that King of the Hill being an animated series had great scope as compared to a real series and so he utilized this opportunity to get the lessons of life across to the audience via the route of animation. He used the hilarious yet many times life-affirming situations in the series to put out messages centering on family, friends and personal sacrifice and about their importance in life. The constant humanity and vulnerability of the characters of King of the Hill who lived a slow paced life in a small town, made it a show worth watching for people from all age groups. The series that was full of very touching moments between Hank and Bobby shines because of the perceptiveness it displays about life. Personally I feel that the King of the Hill should have been continued for many more years. But as we can all see the creators do not agree with the fans of the show. When the show was cancelled after the Season 13, it disheartened and disappointed many fans like me!

So, the episode was entitled ‘What Happens at the National Propane Gas Convention in Memphis Stays at the National Propane Gas Convention in Memphis….. What a big title it is? Well, I guess it’s the biggest title of any TV episode…. Me, never came across such a huge title before this one… have you ever? It was the 9^th episode of the 13^th season of our very favorite animation series ‘King of the Hill’.
It began with Burk Strickland who’s invited to National Propane Gas Convention. The reason behind it was his being the newest inductee into the Propane Hall of Fame. He asked Hank to go along with him. Very soon, Hank realized that his primary responsibility would be to baby-sit Buck and nothing more. Hank’s all plans to keep Mr. Strickland out of trouble were challenged after Buck’s long lost son ‘Ray Roy’ appeared. Later, we found Hank at a bar and Bill, Dale and Boomhauer found him drunk. Under the influence of alcohol, Hank gave an inappropriate speech and vomited on someone. It made Board to think to punish him. Peggy informed Strickland that Hank helped a lot, during its 23 years long service, to become what Strickland Propane was then. After realizing what Hank had done, they decided to help him but got into a bar fight. On the other hand, it was the Propane Court and the time to decide Hank’s punishment. A call disrupted it and the session was temporarily withheld.

Next we saw Peggy inviting the wives of Propane owners at a spa in order to apologize what Hank had done. And, the Propane Board members found them trapped. They started leaving but it was Ray Roy at the door. Things start getting on-center and the Propane Court session forgave Hank. Not only this, but they also decided to honor his 23 years of service. So, the episode ended in a light tone!

Next episode of series would be aired on March 1, 2009. It’d be entitled ‘Master of Puppets’. Stay tuned… I’ll be back with my next review.

Well, King of the Hill’s future is not sure nowadays. Network has decided to end it after the 13^th consecutive season and it’d be revived only if some other channel picks it up. Probability is there that series would be picked up by the ABC Network but that’s also not very sure! Let’s see which channel brings it back?

This was the 7^th episode of the 13^th season of very famous animation series ‘King of the Hill’. This episode opened with Hank when he saw Bobby riding his bicycle with a flat tire. And, we all knew that Bobby didn’t have any interest in fixing up the tire. It made Hank to lose sleep and he thought that he son would become an irresponsible man. Peggy discovered that the Arlen welcomed wagon lady Maxine Sweedy who had lost her job and she decided to utilize the chance. Very soon, we saw her as the next welcome lady. On her first official welcoming, she and Hank met Wesley and Annette Cherish. While discussing about their to-do lists Wesley stated that he wished to have his two sons join the Order of the Straight Arrow.

It was the first meeting of the Order of the Straight Arrow and Wesley taught kids how to build fire indoors. Things went on between Wesley and Hank and we enjoyed the stuff a lot. Later, Wesley decided to have a camp in at the library and Hank was made the in charge of the midnight shift. Ultimately, Hank decided to show the boys his idea of a real Order of the Straight Arrow experience along with Peggy, Dale, Bill and Boomhauer’s help.

Next, we saw that Robin and Carey having too much of sugar and pop. As a result, they both had sugar rush so they run off to the woods. On the other hand, Hank decided to show other boys how to track the people through woods and asked them to keep a keen eye on the movements. Hey buddies! It seems that our favorite show King of the Hill is not going to end very soon after all. Although nothing has been confirmed as yet, there are rumors going around that the series might be picked up by ABC. The show which has received the distinction of being the second longest running animated show on television was supposed to go off the air after the thirteenth episode of its thirteenth season. However now it looks like the show might already have found a new home on ABC. Reportedly the shows executive producer John Altschuler has said that it would be unnatural for the show to not keep going on given the fact that it has been able to maintain both its high ratings as well as excellent quality. It has also been reported that many other networks like Comedy Central, FX and the Cartoon Network are bidding to get the show aired on their network; however the most likely candidate seems to be ABC due to the fact that it has very recently acquired another show created by Mike Judge who is also the creator of The King of The Hill.

Well guys, now isn’t that some really good news. I was really sad when Fox announced the cancellation of the show without even so much as a season finale. Now that there is ample hope that the series might be picked up by one or the other network I am really feeling excited. I really don’t care which network picks it up, in the end all that matters is that I will be able to see my favorite show. The hilarious situations in the lives of Hank, Peggy, Luanne and Bobby have never ceased to make me laugh out aloud. And just the thought of not being able to see them anymore gave me nightmares. But thanks to the various networks available, I am sure that we will be able to see this laugh riot animation series for some time more. Although it will take some time, till the negotiations are finalized and the series goes under production but just the hope of the revival of the series is sufficient to pass the long period of waiting!!!
