Time to bid Farewell to the series

I know that this might just be a bad news for the fans of the series, but this is how it is. The Fox has decided not to renew the series for yet another season. The network recently ordered 13 new episodes and I guess that is all from the Channel’s side. The series has been around for thirteen years and in this long time the series has definitely made its place in the hearts of the people. The series is currently running its thirteenth season after which you have another season that will air some time in 2009. Most likely the last episode of the series will air sometime around in 2010. So, till then the fans can enjoy the series.

King of the Hill is an animated comedy, which features around the life of blue-collar family man Hank Hill of Texas and his family and friends. Though, I do not watch the series on regular basis, but I have seen quite a lot of the episodes of the series. The series is really funny and it deals with the basic situations of life and leaving a lesson for the viewers of the show. I have friends who tell me that this is one of the best shows on television and I am sure that it must be, otherwise it would not have been around, for such a long time.

But, anyways this is the channels decision not to renew the long running series. Well, I am not sure about the reason behind it, but I am sure that there must be a good one. And, I am also sure that there are many of us who do not agree with the channels this decision. If that is so then you can share your thoughts with me, by leaving a comment. Till then enjoy whatever is left of the series.

‘King of the Hill’, season 13- a little bit!

Nowadays, ‘King of the Hill’ is running with season 13. Season 13 was premiered on September 28, 2008 and the season opener was entitled ‘Dia-bill-ic Shock’. In the season opener, we see that Bill comes to know that he has diabetes, because of his love of sweets. A doctor tells him that he’d lose his legs and he starts using a wheelchair (but, he actually doesn’t need it). Thunder teaches him how to be self-centered but this relationship is strained when he realizes that Bill is not disabled.

Next episode was entitled ‘Earthy Girls are easy’ and it was aired on October 05, 2008. It was a pretty good episode. Strickland Propane Company is slammed by a local paper for dumping old propane tanks into the river. Hank helps the company to go green. On the other hand, Dale has a smart plan to impress the ladies.

The Episode entitled ‘Square-Footed Monster’ will be aired on October 19, 08. Here, we’ll see that Hank and the guys fix up a neighborhood house. Next is ‘Lost in MySpace’, scheduled to be aired on November 2, 08 and following it’d be ‘No Bobby Left Behind’, set to be aired on November 9, 08.

Well, that’s what I know yet. I hope, this time ‘King of the Hill’, will have much more stuff to entertain us. I am a huge fan of series and have watched all episodes of ‘King of the Hill’. I know, completing 13 continuous seasons, is not a little achievement, but hats off to the creators of ‘King of the Hill’ who’ve the guts to run it two or three more seasons. Really… I m impressed, man!

Oh! Yeah, one more thing…… here’s the list of my favorite episodes of series. You guys can check out to see. Please don’t forget to comment if you liked the stuff!

“Suite Smells of Excess” Preview

This is extremely entertaining episode of season twelve. If you love football then this is definitely your cup of tea. In this episode, Hank and Bobby decide to watch Big 12 Championship, a college football game, along with Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Bobby and Hank’s cheering cause ‘Texas Longhorns’ to head for win. But unfortunately they lose in the end, find out how.

The episode starts with a scene in a mall, where Hill family has gone for shopping and Hank notices that Bobby is watching a football match raptly, on a television in an electronics store. This makes Hank’s dream come true as he always wanted Bobby to develop an interest in sports. Now Hank brings tickets of ‘Big 12 Championship’ for Bobby and his gang. But, they reach the venue, to find out that Dale has mistakenly destroyed the tickets. Now Hank had to buy tickets from a tout. Finally they get into the stadium.

But its Bobby’s day, so problems obviously can’t stay away from them. They get the seats among hooting crowd, from where they can’t see anything. While rambling around to have visibility, Bobby unknowingly entered an Empty VIP luxury suite. After some time, Hank and others also reach there. There Hank’s sixth sense generates the conception that their presence is acting as good luck charm for Texas team, as they started hitting goals.

Now, disturbed secondary coach from “Nebraska Cornhuskers” makes a call into the suite, which belongs to the ex-Nebraska player to get an advice. Hank receives the call and gives a cunning suggestion to make a freestyle kick, as Longhorns will never expect it. This time, Hank’s bad luck shines, as Longhorns really didn’t expect this shot. Consequently, Longhorns faced a defeat. During this, cameras were focusing on the same suite.

Now problem with the five is that all Longhorns supporters have seen them suggesting the disastrous trick on screen. Now they need to escape from there, but while doing this they rush into the angry mob of Longhorn freaks. To get rid of them they now join a procession of the winning team, which helps them to abscond.
In the end, Hank is satisfied that his son loves football.

Enjoy the Sunday Night Laughs…..

I desperately wait for Sunday nights. Why? Because on Sunday nights my favorite show ‘King of Hill’ airs. At present it is in production mode for the thirteenth season, and will come back soon on 28th of September. You know, in the May of 2009, ‘King of the Hill’ will celebrate its 250th episode. The show has crossed another milestone. Now, I hope that show will still run for long time.

I am happy about the thing that this show is in continuity in its actual form instead of transforming it into a spin off like ‘Family Guy’ did. I least like spin offs, because they indulge just one or two characters from the original show and introduce a horde of new characters. This messes up the existing story. Viewers again take time to understand the new story with new characters. In short it can be said that show loses it’s spice which insists somebody to hook on the show.

I started watching this show from the middle of the first season and I liked all the characters. Every character has been given equal weightage and every character sparks off its distinct fun. Moreover, creators have designed their characters as real life kids, women and white collar men. Bobby is a kid of thirteen years, who is growing and now he has started understanding and perceiving things in his own way. Now he is aware of his likes and dislikes, instead of seeking his parents’ advice for everything. Like every normal kid of his age, he is also attention hungry and wants his father to be proud of him and he takes Hank’s remarks very seriously.

On the other hand, Hank is Bobby’s father and has got the same trait of his son. He also wants to win his father’s praise and seeks his attention. He is jealous of his half brother G.H. Hill, who is just an infant yet, because his father Cotton Hank adores him more than Hank.

Among female characters, Peggy and Didi are jealous women and caring mothers, which we commonly find around. These are the reasons why I am a regular viewer of this show. Since the time it had it’s finale for the twelfth season, everybody is missing those cheerful Sunday nights, but now a little wait is ahead.

Did you like recent season?

Twelfth season of ‘King of the Hill’ earned fabulous ratings, which prompted the creators to bring one more season. In this season, kids of Hill family are pretty serious about their decision making. Finally, Hank took a sigh of relief when Bobby started listening to him and behaving like a grown up kid. Like, in episode, ‘Powder Puff Boys’, Hank boosts Bobby, for his decision to become a cheerleader for girls’ team. Later on, it is learnt that Hank and his father have also remained Power Puff Boys in their times and this is the tradition of Hill family to become a Power Puff Boy.

The first episode was about craze for football. When you will watch it, you will definitely get an idea about consequences of getting VIP seats in stadium. In this episode, Bobby goes to watch a college football tournament along with Hank and friends, and mistakenly sneaks into the VIP luxury suite, and steadily everybody joins him. All the five end up absconding from the stadium.

In ‘Bobby Rae’, Bobby is trying to impress a girl from his school and he finds out a rare way to impress her. He protests against teachers for using soda machine money to pay for their retreat. Situation becomes difficult for him when teachers fight back.

In ‘Death Picks Cotton’, Cotton had an argument with the chef in a restaurant, where food is cooked on table. Cotton’s fight ends up with his death in a hospital. In ‘Doggone Crazy’, Ladybird starts behaving strangely and bites Hank. It is learnt in the end of the episode that he does so because of loud noise especially of thunder.

Next episode revolves around Bill, who falls in love with single mother, but he notices something strange about her daughter Kate and after secretly conducting a DNA test, learns that Kate is related to his son Joseph.

In episode, ‘Six Characters in Search of House’, Peggy is trying to sell a house, whose current occupants are creating hurdles in her way. So she brings out the solution by hiring six actors to replace actual residents.

It will not be wrong if I’ll call this season as variety season. Go through it and you will know, why!

Stay Tuned……..Thirteenth season is ahead

Just three months have past after, twelfth season of ‘Kings of Hill’ had it’s finale. Now thirteenth season is ready to blast on September 28th of 2008. Start your countdown for fun. The shown is undoubtedly, immensely funny and this is the reason that it is ruling the anime world since 1997. Now it has seen twelve seasons. The Emmy award winning show and you know, it’s popularity made it to run this long. People don’t want it to come to an end, along with the media always blowing win –win balloons for the show.

There are many other similar kind of animation series are on air, but no one has got popularity up to it’s level. Do you know? Creators have fabricated 23 episodes in the twelfth season, because this is never enough for the fans.
I like that plumpy son of Hank, Bobby Hill. And guess what was the main attraction of the twelfth season? Well, I liked ‘Strangeness On The Train’ episode the most. In this episode, Peggy plans a distinct birthday party for herself, as she is upset that her birthday party never became the most happening party. So she plans to arrange her birthday party at her own.

I am personally impressed of her idea of a unique party in the train. She set the theme of party as disco theme in seventies. Everybody was dressed in the colorful outfits of seventies.

The animators must have done extra hard work on all the characters, with costumes and especially when everybody is dancing. It needs some extra fineness in painting a character like that. Moreover in a party they had to concentrate upon many characters. I think, the animators must have enjoyed designing these characters, as we liked the off beat theme of the episode.

Although, every episode of ‘King of the Hill’ is always praiseworthy, but for me, this is the most special one from the recent season. The name Mystry train and a disco theme party fascinated me to watch this episode after reading it’s preview on tv .com. I liked this episode so much that I am here to download that episode once again. You too, have a look.

I liked Season One

On every Sunday, you stay busy in accomplishing your pending task list for weekend. When you are through and decide to watch the TV, almost all the good movies and shows have passed on. Then you start waiting for the night, as everybody expects something special on Sunday nights. That something special is,’ King of the Hill’ show. I suppose this is one of the mature animation series. I didn’t call it an adult anime because, this has comprised adult stuff in a few episodes to keep it a clean show, which you can enjoy with your family. Moreover this is an animation, which is suitable not only for kids but for older people as well.

If you too love watching this show then you are at the right place. Try watching first season episodes to cut down your wait for the thirteenth season and you won’t regret watching it again. This season is excessively and is in introductory mode. While watching, it doesn’t seem like you are watching an anime, instead it feels like watching a comedy drama. The series has humor, but it’s with logic.

The series concentrates more upon Texas life style and culture and it revolves around the mundaneness of Texas families. The season one touched serious issue like racism which was and perhaps is still prevalent in some regions of US. Kahn and Hank have been used for the purpose. It is shown that somewhere in cores of their hearts they believe each other as equal to themselves, but still pretend a disliking towards each other.

When Kahn is a newbie to hill, Hank and guys are reluctant to raise a friendly hand, but later on Hank goes for Connie’s Barbeque. Despite a rage for whites, Kahn invites Hank and others for his daughter’s barbeque ceremony. But still he fears that his daughter would marry Bobby, a white. Routine troubles and happenings have been depicted in a quite peppy way in this show. This is such a graceful season that even a new viewer will enjoy even if watching from the middle of the season. Check out this season.

King of Hill is lucky

King of the Hill’ animation has remained on the top of the charts, especially during its recent season. The whole credit goes to the brilliant creators, Greg Daniels and Mike Judge. The show is really lucky to have such shining talents together. Mike Judge has spread his word charm in ‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ show. While Greg is the glorious writer and producer of ‘The Simpson’s’ which is ruling the silver screen since years. Now I got the reason why ‘King of Hill’ has succeeded to run for full twelve seasons and is now ready with the thirteenth season.

‘King of Hill’ revolves around the life of a family of Texas. Hill is their surname and they are residing in town Arlen. The show revolves around the routine life style and problems of this family. The show highlights the contemporary aspects of relationships like, parent-child relationship, jealousies, enviousness as well as arrogance. In a few episodes, the story touches delicate issues like racism and corruption as well.

Hank Hill is the head of the family, although his parents do make an entry in some episodes. He is married with Peggy, a teacher of Spanish. Besides this, she is a real estate agent as well. Hank is working in a propane company. They have a son Bobby with plump appearance. Hank is always worried about his girlish interests. Other than these three, Peggy’s niece Luanne Platter is also residing with them. The entire family co-operates with each other in finding sound solutions for their problems as well as of neighbors.

Their stupidities and getting trapped into funny situations spark humor on the show. All the characters have been painted as close to real life American’s appearance. Their facial expressions seem so natural. The animators have really put life into these animated characters. This show has intensely concentrated upon the age factor. Cotton Hill is shown dying in his old age, although he had succumbed to his injuries, but still the grandpa had to die in some way.

The story develops in very spontaneous way and not a single episode appears odd in the series. This is a mature animation meant for both kids and grown up people. Enjoy previous episodes from here until the season thirteen hits the screen.

A little about King of The Hill

King of the Hill is an animated Emmy winning American Television series which centers on The Hills, a suburban Methodist family who has a full proud of its Texas heritage. The series is created by Mike Judge, also known for his wonderful work at Beavis and Butthead. Series was very much liked by the viewers as instead of dealing with unusual and impossible stuff, it deals with realistic approach with a combination of light humor. It was debuted in January 1997 and is the second longest running animation series on FOX.

King of the Hill

King of the Hill opens in Texas where the culture of every Texan is very accurate. However, it faces much criticism for its behavior towards the ‘Yankees’ but still it remains as a personal favorite worldwide.

On King of the Hill, we met with Hank Hill who is a man with too much proud of himself as well as his Texan heritage. He works at Strickland Propane and is sure that his boss is not one of the very best beings on earth. On series, we do see him dealing with various social as well as personal troubles as such sex, lies, friendship, and murder. His interest on this show- mowing his lawn, taking care of his beer, watching football games and also relaxing for the whole day. But his peaceful life takes a drastic change after the appearance of Souphanousinphones, his neighbor who treats him and his family as hillbillies. So, this is what King of the Hill is…. How Hill manages the things when Bobby, his son falls in love with their daughter Connie.

King of the Hill

King of the Hill is a very successful show which ruled over the 8:30 to 9:00 PM (Sunday) slot on FOX Network for 12 successful seasons.
